Don't forget the legend of Lilith...
This says that Genesis 1 relates the story of Adam and Lilith being created together, but that Lilith refused to be submissive to Adam - so she was kicked out of Eden (and went off to fornicate with demons instead) and Eve was created in Genesis 2 as a replacement. Unfortunately, I don't know where the Lilith legend came from (but I'm sure one of the clever people on this forum will soon edumicate me... hint, hint!) |

There are liberal feminist theologians who try to make the Bible right with their modern ideologies. If you google "feminist theology" you will find them. |

An interesting fictional account of Adam and Eve (for entertainment purposes only ) can be found in Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam & Eve. It's a good read.
