Broken toes can be so painful.
Ice can sometimes help, especially if you wrap a lot of alcohol around it...

Thanks, guys...I think I shall administer alcohol both externally and internally

Nothin' exciting. Got out of bed in the middle of the night to let the dog out, and walked into a wall. Now I wake up and my foot's all gross.

I should make up some really dramatic story...

I was thinking mainly internally, actually, teshi, for the alcohol.
I broke two toes once falling downstairs with the ironing in my arms, which taught me a lesson about letting other people do the ironing...

It should. Ethanol is a diuretic and reduces glucose availability. Even better, or so I've heard, is Pedialyte. Also, vitamin B12 is used heavily in alcohol metabolism.
