That depends on what you call Pope. Peter was the faith of Paul who could not be our kind of Paul if Peter was his faith. So now that we have the icon in place of the reality that they represent your conversion of the icon into a phantasm will force you to accept that your response may be phantastic but remains a fantasy that misses the mark completely.

From this follows that they are not going leave a trail to the evidence that does not exist. Mythmakers are not stupid.

Puff is nowhere found in the NT or other ancient texts.

That is very obvious from her apparitions but in real life she exists beyond the illusions that we see and this makes her most enigmatic of all but also nearest of all.

It must be confusing because the Popes are Catholic and not Christian. To think otherwise is to infer that Jews are Christians too while neither of them are but instead Christian-ity is the final end of both wherein Jews are waiting for the first coming and Catholics for the second coming.

Except that one is a fraud and the is the home of the insight that Peter had.

All variants of Christianity including Catholicism
went over the waterfall at Nicaea 325 CE and
then resurfaced after the turbulence downstream
to start the process of differentiation.

Ancient history does not require a god to exist.
This question is best reserved for theologians.

My favourite verse about the legendary St. Peter
comes from the Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles,
and runs as follows:


"And Peter was frightened,
for how did he know
that his name was Peter? "

Peter was not the brightest bunny in the wood.
He had some sort of memory problem.
