But if the child that was born is the Christ (messiah) what makes you think that the person called Jesus even has a body to start with?

You left out "It's an utterly meaningless and unreliable statement."

The most interesting thing about that list of appearances in Corinthians is that he doesn't tell us what the interval was between the Crucifixion and those sightings. He probably didn't care, since the important thing was that it happened ("according to scripture," of course), not when it happened.
