It's usually either a genetic condition a malfunction in the pituitary gland, or in extreme cases, it's almost always due to a tumour on the pituitary gland that causes it to over produce growth hormone. God broke the mould when he made us, no I mean literally he screwed it up big time. |

Can anyone explain why a cosmology which supports sin-through-bloodlines would NOT endorse something along the lines of genocide?
I mean it all sounds perfectly reasonable to exterminate an entire gene pool if one believes that some sort of impurity permeates it. Those Nephies had to be stomped out, it was just the only way. And those who did it exemplify the ultimate in faith over adversity, by golly. What is it if it isn't justifiable genocide? |

yes, precisely. William Lane Craig and Glenn Miller, these true believers, no fudge, explicitly endorse the concept you describe. Their theology accepts it! A catholic priest, an old school friend, opined it could be a case of "mistaken revelation"!!! I've not had any luck finding any reference to that concept. Perhaps it actually does sit well with catholic doctrine, given they weigh tradition with equal weight as inspiration of the holy book. And tradition shows the ability to be flexible and re-interpret ancient text, if need be. Especially when the doctrines of OT genocide get under the glare of post holocaust morality. Fundies need be made more aware than their belief system entails calling evil good when God put it into a holy man's head that the neighbours be done away with, the thoroughly the better. But "keep the virgins". Ah, fresh flesh! |
