I don't see why you're trying to back up your position with the "accuracy" of Hebrew written records and oral tradition. This is a religion with multiple and contradictory written records (which is YOUR "Old Testament": the Masoretic text, the Septuagint, the Dead Sea scrolls?), plus the many contradictions between different books within any of the accepted Bibles. And it is through written records that we are able to trace the evolution of the "Hebrew tradition" from poytheism through henotheism to monotheism, the changing attitudes towards human sacrifice, and so forth. The notion that there is a continuous "tradition" that supports your position is laughable. |

There are no "Ten Commandments" on any courthouse door that I know of (maybe it's happened in darkest fundydom somewhere).
And the Bible doesn't even agree with itself on what the "Ten Commandments" actually are. Admittedly, I've never boiled a kid (goat) in its mother's milk, as prohibited by the Tenth Commandment (according to Exodus 34:26). |

Ummm, how exactly? 1. You shall not worship any other god but YHWH. dont see thatanywhere in law 2. You shall not make a graven image. still nothing 3. You shall not take the name of YHWH in vain. ho hum 4. You shall not break the Sabbath. yawn so far 5. You shall not dishonor your parents. still nothing 6. You shall not murder. aha here is one. bit of a no brainer though. Not sure I can think of many religions or cultures that actually says "go out and murder all you want" so you canot claim this one is due to christianity. 7. You shall not commit adultery nothing here (at least not in the western world) 8. You shall not steal. see murder 9. You shall not bear false witness. well I guess you could interpret this one as not lying. THis is only illegal in some cases, such as fraud etc, but still no different from just about any old world civilization 10. You shall not covet. zilch here too so we see only 3 of the 10 comanments are actually in current western law. but all 3 of these also appear in just about anyother sects rulebook also. from ancient greece to aboriginies to Maori. All these cultures had some form of 'law' where these crimes were punished. Many of these existed way way way before the ten commandments were supposedly set down. |

Mata
Your public awaits your startling posting wherein you demonstrate that Hebraic oral tradition plus matrilineal tracking leads to proof of (i) historical stone tablets with 10 or 20 or 2,000 commandments, (ii) a historical exodus, and (iii) any united Judaic history prior to the exile. |
