Am I correct in interpreting the closing statement - Ad finem perducti sunt canones sancti patriarchae Hippolyti, primi patriarcharum urbis magnae Romae, "Hippolytus the first patriarch of the city of Great Rome" - as if there are other bishops in Rome but he is the highest? See also the beginning remarks - Canones ecclesiae cum praeceptis quae scripsit Hippolytus summus episcopus Romae, secundum mandata apostolorum,

Your doctor doesn't speak Latin? That's odd.

I would assume they know a lot about Latin. Most of them write in some kind of code. I never could read their writing, but others in the medical field understood them. It was a thought; I was trying to help.

No I am looking to get an English translation. Maybe I should start with the Arabic translation but there are just so few competent Arabic translators who would be familiar with this ecclesiastic language.
