As a member of Loren's conclave, I've been reading these messages tonight, and this particular one struck me, since I've also been reading _Secrets of the Code (or via: amazon.co.uk)_ (revised edition) by Burstein recently and was struck there by the remarkably poor quality of the Freke/Gandy material. The worst stuff in SOTC, IMO. I don't see any indication that Freke is well-versed in Gnosticism, or that he and Gandy have any reputable methodology at all. For prospective members, Pagels yes, Freke definitely not.
