Perhaps you'd like to consult the books on Acts that Pervo has already published --i.e., Profit With Delight (or via: amazon.co.uk), Rethinking the Unity of Luke and Act (or via: amazon.co.uk)s, Dating Acts (or via: amazon.co.uk), and especially his Hermeneia Commentary on Acts (or via: amazon.co.uk) -- of which you seem wholly unaware.

Dear Jeffrey,

Thankyou for the suggestion however I am primary interested specifically in his (or anyone's) english translation of the acts of titus. Do you happen to know whether any of these books contains such in any form of completeness? Otherwise do you know a deserving undergraduate (or underserving, I suppose, it depends how you are looking at this) who is willing to post to Australia a paper print of the article mentioned earlier, or any other article/book/publication/etc containing an english translation of this text. As stated above I am quite prepared to reimburse anyone for their time and trouble,

Best wishes,

Pete

What on earth -- besides your insistence of doing only internet research -- is keeping you from going to a library and finding out yourself?

As to sending you a copy of Pervo's article, which I have, why would anyone be inclined to do so since your track record of reading accurately what anyone sends you is disastrous?

Dear Jeffrey,

Perhaps you remain unaware that I dwell in rural Australia and its seventeen thousand miles to the nearest fence and gate, After that, once the rivers have subsided I can get through to a part-time post-office twice each year for provisions and mail. The closest library is a 27 hour drive, and the cost of pertol is going up. The seventeen children and the missus cant afford to have me away more than a week at any one stretch, so that leaves only one opportunity each year of getting to this library. Consequently I reckon that if I get a hold of this "Acts of Tutus" for $10 bucks I'll be ahead.

Practice makes perfect.
