Of course, it cannot be proved that there is not an 'evil' or unwelcome experience after death.

The people who meet in a room on your street don't fit this description. They do not prescribe any conduct other than what is considered socially desirable.

If Jesus of Nazareth was as real as Josiah Bartlet, no.

But he may have been as real as Martin Sheen. Though not as wealthy.

Yes. I know some religions sell better than others; some are more successful than others.

There is nothing demeaning about selling something to make a living; one might say that I have made a living by selling my labour in the employment market.

Selling good honest work is not like selling holiday villas in Hades, which is what religions do.

Any group that meets to talk about how best to cope with the problems of living without ever considering the lie that life continues after death is not a religion , but a group made up of the living, by the living for the living,

Yes.
So not all religions sell. Possibly none of them do so. One rarely sees such an outpouring of drivel as can be read in the latest few posts.

So, on your street, on potentially every street, there is a religious or spiritual presence to which there is no objection. No genuine objection.

And there is one religion that cannot be shown to be ahistorical. Certainly not by cockamamie 'arguments' via absurd category error, anyway.

I don’t know which religion you have in mind, please explain

As for the rest I don’t object to anything for as long as one is a good boy.

This is a serious forum. Stand-up comedians should practise elsewhere.

It is a serious forum. Which religion do you have in mind?

The Vatican is wealthy, it made money by selling the merits of the precious blood

Not if the Vatican is mentioned.
