I think this has something to do with Lucifer, the light bearer, who was conflated with Satan. But I don't know where Jesus comes in.

I think I can make a reasonably good case for the Christ figure being a repentant satan figure.

I imagine the comparison referenced in the OP was from the following verses:

IIRC the name Lucifer means "Morning Star".

Another (weaker) comparison has been made from the following verses, suggesting that since both are compared to a lion they are similar:

No, Bush is just his stupider half brother.

The Jesus=Sa tan thing could be just another contridiction. It's funny how the writers of the bible, being as wise as they're supposed to be, didn't think about things like this.

Keep in mind the bible was put together after they wrote and they had no idea the their writings would be assembled in.

But, because the bible was "God inspired" indicate that contradictions, like this, should have been accounted for. After isn't god all knowing?
