Yay! I've made it to page 47 (with 40 posts/page) in the other thread! Here's what I have to reply to so far...

Quote:
Lel:
I have an aversion to James White
--I have an aversion to Dave Hunt, who sees nothing wrong with slandering non-Christians and our religions.

Quote:
UberL:
Used in two great an abundance, the f word (like saffron or truffle) overpowers the entire conversation (or dish) and completely ruins it.
--I've always found Jay's cussing to be utterly inoffensive in Kevin Smith's movies because it's just a reflex for the character. He doesn't mean any of it. It's like verbal punctuation for him. I think it was in Dogma someone objected to his swearing and he just didn't get it. I don't either.

love radorth.
--His trolling posts produce more rep-worthy responses than any other troll on CF! I can't count the number of times I've used up all my rep points on people responding to him.

singletrack1:
Can someone tell me what a "proper atheist" is?
--My mother.

I don't intend to talk about homosexuality all the time -- in fact, I don't like talking about homsexuality all the time because there is a lot more to me than "being gay" (and in my own priorities of what is important in my life, that ranks way down from the top) -- but I have long since tired of the adversarial attitudes from a lot of the posters in CF, and having to justify myself as a Christian who happens to be gay, and being told that my partner of 16 years and I can't possibly love each other because our genders are the same (like what does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?) and in general feeling like I'm being shoved back into a closet I exited 36 years ago and have since used only for clothes.

(Wow: a 139 word sentence! Take that, Emmanuel Kant! )

Is inallthingslove at least more respectful of gay Christians than CF? I certainly don't expect people to approve of my sexual orientation, but a tolerance and forebearance would go a long, long way (and it seems to be in dreadfully short supply at CF).

Then writing an a cappella choral piece (chorus without accompaniment) would be OK, or not OK?

This is probably the beginning of a research project, but what is the difference between a full Arab orchestra and a western orchestra?

Borris wants 76. Is that allowed? - Something about patriotism and Heinz, I couldn't really follow him too well?
