There is no wisdom in being angered by what those priests did to those children? What do you mean?

Are you saying that there is more wisdom in ignoring it??

Yup. That's what he's saying.

Amazing, isn't it?

Sorry, there is no wisdom in doing little boys and therefore there is no wisdom in 'that'. Justice must deal this but not wisdom that knows no anger or fear.

My mistake if I did not present this right and thanks for the observation.

You just keep wallowing in you own mire, John, it looks good on you.

Ok...
Let me see if I got it right, because I don't want you to be misunderstood.
The image that comes to mind is Gandhi...He confronted England without anger nor fear but with the law and a the wisdom of a patient but persevering disposition.
Are we in the same page there?

Exactly, emotions do not belong in the court room where wisdom is the prime mover of justice. Anything beyond that shows a weak argument that begs for wedges to be driven and will fail because we are submerged in it.

I did say that Californian "might but should not" let it get the best of her and I wrote this for her own good.

Thanks, Chili, you've got me cold on this one. It does still upset me.
After 17 years of Catholic School, it's like a personal betrayal. Weird, when you consider I left the Church 35 years ago.

That's the Disney version. The Reality Version is he confronted England with 350 million people ready to take to the streets - and presented himself to the English and the rest of the world as the only reasonable alternative to mass bloodshed. "Deal with me or else....", with the "or else" remaining unspoken but oh so apparent.

Ghandi was a brilliant tactician - but a lotus flower he was not.

I think that he was wise...

You are excused as a woman . . . after all, the heart of a woman is the heart of Christ and it should be moved when the weak and vulnerable are betrayed.

You are a good soldier indeed.
