Craig writes 'For if God can control human activities in such exquisite detail as to produce through free agents a Scripture which is verbally and plenarily inspired, then there seems no reason why He could not control human activities such that people always freely refrain from sin.'
It does seem a good point, doesn't it? Craig of course, claims that it is just impossible for God to be able to create people who freely write exactly the scriptures He wants and also create people who freely choose good. But why? |

This is an off-topic point, but what kind of God with magical powers needs people to write for him anyway? I am amused that there's this basic assumption that the best method of communication available to an all-powerful God is to inspire humans to write a book that looks just as flawed and man-made as all the other religious texts out there. I am also amused that this communication method they assume is the only one available to God happens to be the only one that a fictional God would have.

Yah, if I were a god, I'd have my 'rules' inscribe with gold inlay on a continuous diamond ring, the letters 200 meters high and the diamond ring 200 kilometers wide and at about 200 kilometers elevation. Plus tattoo'd on the back of everyone's eyelids and on their asses.

This line of reasoning seeks to define what God wants or doesn't want or what he can do or can't do. But to define God in this or any or any other way is to place limits on him. That's what definitions do. Limits are what delineate entities that are within the creation. If God was within the creation, he would have had to have created himself.
