An interesting observation, but the notion that a religious "leader" would commit his teachings to writing is a modern notion. From the picture we get of Jesus from the gospels, it wouldn't occur to him to systematize his "theology" into a text, because arguably he didn't have a theology to speak of, but was merely submitting himself to a role in the narrative of the gospel, which was then preached by his apostles. By definition he couldn't write the gospel, because he dies in the story.
