My personal choice are the creation evangelizers, collectively taken as a group.

They use pseudoscience and misinformation to create doubt regarding organic evolution. But their real purpose (aside from making money) is proselytizing for a rigid, authoritarian, and anti-intellectual brand of Protestantism.

Kent Hovind, who's also a tax cheat, is the poster boy, but there are others.

Slimiest, or the slickest?

Truly slimy ones never make to the mainstream and while a Jim Whittington (remember him) or even an Oral Roberts may be stomach turners for most of us, preachers like these, greedy scum no doubt, are not out to take over the world. For THAT kind of power grab, you gotta be slick, not slimy. Dobson (to whom I say, "Focus on your own damn family.") springs to mind.

Televangelists who have ties to foundations that may actually lack the word christian in the title (Eagle Forum, Family Research Council, the Christian Coalition) are among the slickest, and therefore the most dangerous.

And let us not forget, the T.D. Jakes', Frederick K. Price's and the Cleflo and Taffy Dollar's of the world. Just because a preacher is black, doesn't make him (or her) Dr. Martin Luther King.

(If the very names PRICE and DOLLAR aren't a clue, I don't know what is)

Benny Hinn.

I have this fantasy where I sneak into one of his "healing" sessions and pretend I have an uncurable disease like the rest of the poor, hopeless people who attend this scammer douchebags revivals . When I finally reach the stage and fall over after he touches and "heals" me.....I get up and laugh in his face and yell to the rest of the audience that he is a complete fraud and that everyone should go home. Man, I'd love to embarass and expose him just ONCE!

I hate this fucker sssssssoooooo much for exploiting the sick, weak and feeble. I want to cook his balls in battery acid and eat them for breakfast.

I wonder what kind of screening process he and his crew have to prevent a stunt like that. They can't all be pre-paid plants, can they?

I have no idea. He came to Boston once and I was going to, at the very least, try and sneak a camera in and write a blog piece about the happenings at one of his events. An exposé if you will.

I don't think they would believe someone like me who looks healthy otherwise and is relatively young. I would need decoys (faux family members) surrounding me and a wheelchair prop to pull it off if I ever tried.

Why get up and laugh in his face and denounce him, better to just lie a bit, then start a twitching and a moaning and break into a full fire ants in the pant break dance on LSD-laced PCB with a goodly number of earth-cracking, ear-splitting, heart-rending, mind-breaking screams and screeches that include just enough recognizable references to '____ is the Devil, s/he's Satan for sure and has stolen my soul, OH GAAAWWWWWWD, don't let him torture your loving child sooooooooooooooo!. A bit of projectile vomit and some squib-blasts of stage blood and some strong nausea inducing gas releases along with suitable fireworks would make for a great show, all the better if you can get some assistants in the audience to augment the scene with their own 'tortures' and/or cries of accusation towards the fakirs.

Now, THAT would be fun.
