I asked this before but you refused to answer it. How do you know this doesn't mean that they are in agreement rather than a single entity?
John 1.1

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Setting aside the absence of any reference to Jesus in this passage, how do you reconcile your conclusion with the numerous passages I've already asked you about more than once? They explicitly depict Jesus and God as separate entities. Are you simply ignoring them?

Allow me to repeat excerpts from a previous post:

"Jesus is God, according to the author of John, and still the Son of God".

John 1.1
Quote:
......The Word was God......
John 1.14
Quote:
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us....

Repeating yourself again is as unnecessary as the passages are inadequate responses to my questions. You have no actual answers, do you? You don't have a clue what to do about all those references that describe Jesus and God as separate entities, do you? You are just ignoring them and pretending they don't exist. At least you are consistently simplistic.

Rather like the fundamentalists with whom, oddly enough, you share this conclusion.

Aren't you going to take your own advice to Jeffrey?

And to Ben.

Yes.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him think.

Note that the Gospel does not dare put these words in the mouth of Christ, nor is this repeated or developed outside of the prologue. This prologue is a later Alexandrian addition.

So, who put these words in the mouth of Jesus?

Those are legit. Standard mystic self-identification with the Absolute.

What do you say to the mystic hotdog vendor?
