Btw, the evangelical 'tradition' traces its roots to the early church, but also to Wycliffe, who well predates any Protestant denomination.

That sounds like pure fantasising.

Coming from someone who believes that the evangelical tradition goes back to the early church, that is a bit rich. Do you also believe what the freemasons tell you about their origins? Talk about fantasising. Have you never heard of Darby and dispensationalism and the effect it has had on modern rapture-believing pre-trib evangelical Christianity and its relations to the Jews?

People desperate for ammunition in fighting Christianity probably would.

Personally I don't particularly see such missions to Jews as anti-semitic, but you gave "running missions to Jews" as evidence of that Christians did not blame the Jews for the death of Christ, which is pure nonsense. Preaching to the Jews and believing that they are descended from "Christ-Killers" has always been perfectly compatible to many Christians.
This is btw why I still think you mean Evangelicals, when you say "Christians", because I am not aware of such "missions to the Jews" from other Christian groupings.

Yawn.

Sorry if it is boring you, but you started with the irrelevancy of talking about Wycliff. BTW. you should take a look at what Luther said about the Jews. Quite juicy stuff. Or is he not Christian enough for you?

It does not seem likely that the lady concerned can have had this in mind, then.

Not these instances of course. What she had in mind were the pogroms that used to follow the passion plays.
