Anyone who thinks they understand Revelation should read about the history of its interpretation: A History of the End of the World (or via: amazon.co.uk) by Jonathan Kirsch. It's funny reading about all the believers who predicted the world would end soon -- even giving an exact date sometimes. No matter how many times they were wrong, some other nitwit would come along and make exactly the same mistake. The Jehovah's Witnesses and Hal Lindsay are just the latest in a long line of self-appointed prophets who claim to understand the Bible's most ridiculous book -- and look like fools as a result.

Perhaps before trying to convert non believers you should work on people who already believe - so you're singing from the same hymn sheet so to speak
