Help With Bible Quotes
I’m stuck trying to find a particular quote for a debate I’m having. I’ve found plenty of “We’re all doomed” type quotes in the bible but just can’t seem to find the particular quote referencing Captain Mainwaring that I’m looking for. Are there any bible jockeys out there kind enough to take it upon themselves to forgive me for two minutes and tell me where it is? Also, the one about ‘The number of the beast’ and ‘Don’t tell ‘em Pike” would help. Failing that, is there an on-line searchable bible anywhere?

Even the most radical Biblical scholars date the scriptures well before Captain George Mainwaring and Dad's Army.
But the number of the beast is in Revelation 13:18. Or two different numbers depending on which version you read. |
