AVOIDENCE
By New10. You ask, “What is the pathology of Christianity as with ALL religions? Christianity, as ALL patriarchal religions, rejects the natural world for the world of the supernatural. It is ONLY the natural world upon which we can rely for the truth of how we deal with the vicissitudes of life. You may not like this truth; those who cannot accept natural truth make up their own supernatural truth, which is the avoidance of reality. One observation that can be made about Christians is that each one makes up their own interpretation concerning how they would like their reality to be. In other words, each Christian creates his/her own comfort zone for a myriad of reasons including indoctrination into the world of the supernatural, as an explanation for all that exists. I find it interesting that Christians, as with other religions, see reality as a threat to their existence. :devil1: |

Each xian in finding their comfort zone has to abdicate some part of their reason. The fundies a lot and the salad bar types a little, but all have to do it to a degree to accept supernaturalism. One thing they all seem to say in one form or another is that, "You can believe anything you want to believe." Well, yes you can, but not and still be consistent with reality.
Some on this board have blocked posters they doesn't want to read. Nothing like putting your fingers in your ears and going "LALALALALA" so you can keep believing the unbelievable. They continues to post while ignoring most of what is being said to them. Sure reality is a threat to the existence of supernaturalism. People feel their being is in their religion and without it they are nothing (or a crispy critter). So they have to go to great lengths in their rationalizing their book and denying the fact of evolution. |
