I have to say I think some fundies, with their ideas on Bush and the USA, ahe beat you to worshiping government as god.

Unfortunately the government isn't always "us". It doesn't even always represent the majority of the population, and my ethical and moral values are not the same as the majority of the population. My ethics and morals derive from my mind, not from external source.
