That would be going backward, like deciding to believe in Santa Claus again, would it not? She has a set of beliefs that she feels allow her to call herself a monotheist. She has never called herself an atheist.

Looks like she does call herself a monotheist nowadays, so you are correct, Toto. Here is a transcript of an interview from 2002:
