Because xenophobia has been inherited as a survival strategy.

We needn't go there. I could make you a huge list of the ones I like that weren't released here!

However, since I am an all-loving and all-merciful (and did I mention all-knowing?) human being I will spare you that list.

why is there an increasingly anti-american sentiment in the world?

the U.S abyssmal foreign policies coupled with the stereotype americans (particular the crazy patriotic ones) being the most vocal and the kind we in the rest of the world get confronted with.

naturally it's rather annoying to get trolled by some redneck who thinks his country is the end all be it all and everyone else lives in a third world country of some sort.

that, and there's as of yet no power to balance against the US military supremacy. In time the EU or China may fill that role as a counterbalance, but at the moment there is an increasing fear, especially with people as bush at the head, that america will increasingly abuse it's position. i say increasingly because naturally it allready has done it on several occasions.

that, and we hate macdonalds.

All of Bush's poetic answers are rather naive. It's just dumb to say, "They attacked us because they are evil," as if the terrorists woke up one day and said to themselves, "I am evil, and Americans are admittedly good. So normally, I need to do evil things to them. Let's get to work!!"
*Enai laughs out loud*

Yes, I'm sure terrorists are like that. "So, what are we going to do tomorrow, Brain?""We'll be evil terrorists, Pinky, and bomb good Americans!"

I'm not a mind reader, but I could probably guess at a few of them.
