No worries; you couldn't have put it in ~Elsewhere~ if you'd tried.

Yes, I think so.

I knew a Zimbabwean guy in Australia, who was a tobacco horticulturalist or some darned thing. Anyway, when we'd talk about African sorcery and shite, he would tell me that it was the thinking that killed men when the witchy-poo doctor put the hex on. The witchy-poo doctor would "point the bone" and make assorted death-to-you utterings, and the sheer fearful overthinking of that would cause the recipient to die. I don't know how true this is, but I have no reason to disbelive the guy, and he says he's seen it, so there. He also says that various witchdoctors have tried to put death-to-you hexes on him, but as he gave it no further thought, nothing happened of course. Therefore, thinking too much can kill you.

Often people who tyhink they've been witched change their behavior in ways which bring about their own death. For example, people have been known to stop eatiung and drinking. Thus, they die.

Exactly.

I should have stated that these people don't die overnight, suddenly. Just that the fearful overthinking and resulting depression causes them to whither away. They don't eat and drink, they become more susteptible to illness because of it - then death comes.

But 'tweren't the witchery that killed 'em, 'twas the thinkin'.
