They're from leaflets from the White Rose, a very brave resistance movement of students and intellectuals within Germany during WWII. They also painted slogans on walls like "Hitler Mass Murderer" and "Freedom." Unfortunately, they were all eventually caught and executed by the Nazis, but their legacy lives on as many schools in Germany are named after them and nearly all German schoolchildren know of their story.

Unlike the Nazis, CT doesn't have the power to execute us for speaking out against his vile ideology. The White Rose is a powerful symbol that expresses a steadfast message of "NO" to evil. The White Rose makes fascists and those who hate freedom and tolerance very upset and demoralized. So that's why I'm more than happy to stick this into CT's face.

I learned a long time ago that there are no "chosen people." They can read whatever they want into their religious books. But there are no "chosen people." And they know it. They're just pretending to believe it these days.

An egotistical fool cannot possibly be wrong, at least in his own mind, so I think his answer will most likely be the latter.

Wandering south on the promenades that line the edge of the East River, one can look north over one's shoulder and take in the vaulting skyline of Midtown and Uptown: The sun catches the armored spire of the Chrysler Building, making it shine like molten steel; the Empire State Building resembles a stately Art Deco rocket ship frozen forever on the pedestal of its launch pad.

As one wanders south along the edge of the river, people stroll and jog past: Jews in yarmulkas, lesbians holding hands, white people and black people and those of every shade in between, averaging out to a rich, buttery carmel color, especially evident among the babies being pushed in their strollers by nannies. This color indicates that lately, a lot of Europoids and Congoids have been getting busy with each other behind closed doors.

The promenade is lined with dogs runs and small parks. Each bears a sign: Do Not Feed the Trolls.

Sitting on a bench in one of the parks, I let my gaze wander over the river, toward the bustle of Queens. A woman approaches to my right, carrying a large sack labeled "Troll Food." She tears it open and pours the contents onto the walkway: half-baked ideas, stale conceits, rotting ideologies, putrescent pronouncements.

The trolls come bounding out of their hiding places and pounce on the food. They have pale white skin, nearly translucent, and shaggy mops of dirty blond hair. They gibber and peep as they feast, drooling like leaking canisters of toxic waste. When they have devoured their fare, they scuttle back into their hiding places, knuckles scraping on the ground as they go. Who are they? Where do they come from? Some have speculated that they are at least partly human, perhaps a cross-breed with homo ergaster. But no one knows, really. </interlude>

I'm half Jewish, and I have a lot of respect for the Conservative branch of the religion. What Conservative Thinker posted was very offensive in my eyes, especially the answers to "Remember the Holocaust?" and thereafter.
