Oh no, I meant that he was censored or even excommunicated from Judaism for his views. Am I not right on this?

You are right but it was the Church that convicted them just as Jesus was convicted by the Jews. Notice that from my perspective we should be proud of it.

No bites?

Let me say again that it was the will of Jesus that he be crucified after being convicted by the Jews. Willingly he sacrificed himself with the words 'Yes I am' and soon after that "it is finished." We are proud of that and are forever indebted to Judaism for this liberation theology.

So here we have the same scenario except that these heretics did not walk away from it after they said "yes." It just proves the heresy, that's all, but rather costly and much more so if future Reformers never learned anything from this. :banghead:

Are we proud of it? No, of course not but we never were the authority in charge of the nation. Herod was and Pilate's was just the local Inquisitor.

I hope that we will someday see the last of this.
I think the Amish are even more self-separated from mainstream society than Jews ever wished to be. They may be ridiculed somewhat, but TMK not actually hated. There is more to hatred than a group choosing to remain separate.

Good point. I was simplifying. Hatred of Jews indeed involves far more than simple separation.
