No bites?
Let me say again that it was the will of Jesus that he be crucified after being convicted by the Jews. Willingly he sacrificed himself with the words 'Yes I am' and soon after that "it is finished." We are proud of that and are forever indebted to Judaism for this liberation theology. So here we have the same scenario except that these heretics did not walk away from it after they said "yes." It just proves the heresy, that's all, but rather costly and much more so if future Reformers never learned anything from this. :banghead: Are we proud of it? No, of course not but we never were the authority in charge of the nation. Herod was and Pilate's was just the local Inquisitor. |
