Default Tony Blair stays buttoned up.

From the BBC website:

Tony Blair has rejected calls for the publication of advice on the legality of the Iraq war amid growing calls for an investigation.

As bad as Thatcher may have been at least she didn't kill her troops to save her political skin. I respect Labour voters opinions even though I don't share them but how can they vote for this corrupt monster any more ?

Based on the alternatives, how can they not?

Funny how all the bad stuff about the Tories is coming out under the new Freedom of Information act, but this isn't....

Not sure Blair is that corrupt (he's not pure either though), but it is time for him to go... and hopefully we can have a new opposition as well.

But if Gordon Brown takes over from Tony Blair (seems unlikely at the moment, and it also seems that Brown is going to be moved from the treasury to the foreign office), and Charles Kennedy takes the Lib Dems to main opposition status, then a Scotsman'll be PM, and another'll be the opposition leader!

Corrupt = Bernnie Ecclestone
Peter Mandelson
The Bristol Flats
The Oratory School

And that honestly is without having to think about it.

What is above is just his personal doings on the wider political scale you could say :

Imprisonment without trial
Taking graduate thesis off the web and presenting it as intelligence gathered fact
The sacking of Mo Mowlem
The tearing up of the manifesto with regards to tuition fees
and the personal attacks on Red Ken.

Ok but the las three is politics! And the rest is just what politicians do unfortunately....

In the "perfect system" to be in office would bring no advantages whatsoever, thus taking away the possibilities of corruption.
But I'm more concerned at the way the Labour Party is now getting more and more cash from private corporate donours. That's when the shit really starts to hit the fan...

But all in all, the least you can say about Blair is that he was much better than Major/Thatcher, and he's made some good changes for the country.

Without wanting to sound flippant, can you name those 'good changes'?

Can I just check ?

Are we saying imprisonment without trial is a good thing ?

Or handing the countries foriegn policy to the Rebublican party is a good thing ?

Or bogus intelligence reports are a good thing ?

But the one fact that marks him out above all others is the way he sent British troops to die for his personal reputation. Neither Thatcher or Major killed anyone to save their own political skin.

That's debateable; it depends to what degree the falklands were a political decision for Thatcher.

Oh no it was a clear and obvious fact that the Argentinians had invaded the Falklands.

WMD on the other hand.
