Well, assuming belief in God and "the principles associated with it," I would say yes, insomuch as generally the principles associated with monotheistic God worship involve worshipping God only, and condemnation of worshipping other entities as being morally wrong. Of course, one could believe in God/Satan, and have a set of principles in which worshipping Satan was not wrong. What you're dealing with what amounts to complete fiction... and people can believe in all sorts of crazy shit and derive whatever principles they want from them. In most sets of principles associated with the belief in God/Satan, Satan worship is wrong. Presumably there could be devil worshippers who might take the opposite stance. Imo, both groups are being foolish.

Being an athiest I would find satan worship just as equally ridiculous.

This site seems to cover the various types of Satanism, modern Satanism being the self-worship type. Apparently "traditional" satanism did believe in a real satanic deity, but it's not followed as much as "modern".

I don't think thinking of self first is necessarily evil, but some satanists seem to believe that anything that gets in the way of that goal must be countered, even if it harms others. Evil, maybe not, but a bit immoral from my own perspective.

Buddhism also tends to hold the view that an entirely evil being is an illogical concept, since if it were only capable of negative and destructive behaviour it would destroy itself. In order to sustain itself a being must, by definition, have some positive qualities.

The whole purely good/purely evil being idea is IMO an overly simplistic one which appeals to our habit of reducing complex situations to easily understandable dualities, rather than reflecting a real-world situation.

Jesus saves,but Satan scores.

And,as has been already been mentioned,if you actually believe in the "principles" associated with Yahweh worship,then,by that set of standards,it's wrong.

This is a creature that gets insanely jealous of pottery. Worshipping anything but Yahweh is considered wrong by that set of beliefs,the Devil or anybody else,included.

Of course,someone who believes in the Christian,Jewish,or Muslim god,might not necessarally think that being was moral to begin with,and in that case it wouldn't be wrong.
