I know, I was conflating the two. If there was a Solomon (is there any evidence for that, I think there is just the David inscription?), then he was also some sort of minor leader, hence no temples.

Agreed, then there was a meaningful historical Arthur. But does this person then bear any meaningful relation, beyond the name, to the Arthur of legend?
