That's all I am asking. I don't see the epistles as continuing anything from any of the gospels at all. The epistles never indicate that the writer(s) know anything about the parables, stories or minimalist theologies of the synoptics or of John, as we have discussed at length.
BUT if one guy wrote all these things WHY did he write them with so many differences and contradictions?

At least the guy who wrote the Book of Mormon concentrated on one main book (aside from the Pearl of Great Price etc.) with one basic story line.
Which guy wrote the ORIGINAL Mormon Bible? Moroni, God, the Nephi, ancient prophets, ancient inhabitants of America......WHO?????

It is claimed Joseph Smith COPIED some plates?

Who first wrote the Mormon Bible on the PLATES?

Did Joseph Smith simply INVENT his PLATE story?

Joseph Smith only copied some plates he found.

Paul may have not written anything either.

There were a couple of guys who put together the who book and the storyline involving Joseph Smith. Analysis of the book makes it comparable to a novel of the period in language and subject matter. You can google it. I forget exactly. But there's alot on it.

Obviously it is within the realm of possibility that Romans came across a story that was GMark or a predecessor, and one or two epistles, and decided to redesign and produce more of the same. But the first question would be FOR WHAT PURPOSE to create 4 gospels and all those epistles, especially and intentionally ensuring they were quite different from one another?

It would seem to me that it would be impossible to hide their fiction completely, and at the very least it would be possible to COMPARE one by one the story lines, and especially the PARABLES and MAXIMS with Roman and Greek ones to directly trace the ones in the NT texts to those. It would presumably be IMPOSSIBLE for the forgers to TOTALLY HIDE THEIR TRACKS.

Now, you have CHANGED your story. Now, its more than one guy. How come you don't have a consistent story?

You first implied it was one guy but now it is a couple of guys.

I hope you now understand that nothing is far-fetched when dealing with the original authorship, contents and chronology of ancient documents.

You misunderstand. I was talking generically. Of course Joseph Smith did not write the book etc.

Was Marcion hiding his PHANTOM story from the Romans?

Were the Greeks hiding their MYTH Gods and Sons of God stories from the Romans?

Was Valentinus hiding the Ogdoad story from the Romans?

Did Basilides hide his Three-fold Sonship story from the Romans?

Why do you think people of antiquity need to hide their Myth Fables from the Romans?

The Romans ALREADY BELIEVED MYTH FABLES.

The mere fact that Roman Emperors BELIEVED they were Gods and Sacrificed to their Myth Gods confirm that they were publicly known as MYTH BELIEVERS and EXPECTED Roman Citizens to do the same.

Do you know of any MYTH Fable that is historically accurate and can save mankind from Sin?

Myth Fables were BELIEVED by Romans in antiquity whether or not they were historically accurate.

Sorry, but I fail to see how your posting relates to mine. When I talk about hiding their tracks I mean trying to pretend the texts were written by Paul or Matthew or Luke etc. in the first century when they were written by some imperial scribe.

The reciprocal also applies. How does your post relate to the OP? At one time you are rhetorical and the next you are generic. You need to write more than 4 or 5 five lines to make your position clear.

Which imperial scribe wrote anything about Jesus? Why would a scribe introduce doctrines of the Church or a cult that the Church or CULT leader did NOT ever teach?

All changes in doctrine MUST be AUTHORISED by the CULT LEADER or the Church.

Now when the Emperor or the Pope of Rome tells you that Paul wrote Galatians and that the ENTIRE Canon is authentic then you don't ask questions.

How many people today would even dare tell the Pope of Rome that Paul wrote NOTHING before the Fall of the Temple c 70 CE and was a LIAR?

Examine Galatians 1:8 -
Quote:
....But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
The Pauline writer THREATENED the Galatian Church. He was POWERFUL. Not even Angels could change his gospel. The Pauline Group was the FINAL authority.

Which century did the Jesus cult get POWER and Authority?

Was it NOT under Constantine in the 4th century?

Ignatius, Polycarp, Clement of Rome, Irenaeus, Justin Martyr, Theophilus, Athenagoras, Clement of Alexander, Hippolytus, Tertullian, and Origen did NOT have the POWER and Authority as the Pauline Group.

The Gospel of the PAULINE Group was FINAL.

Quote:
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
When did the Pauline Group get so POWERFUL--the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th century????
