You know, I applied to York university but did not get offered a place.

As this thread is already in E, I feel I can derail as much as I like.

Getting back on track, I think maybe the OP means Pete Fountain. He certainly had a connection to the New Orleans Saints.

Oh, man, that is so true. I started following them in 7th grade (1972)--no particular reason. Years and years and years of nothing--then wait! The playoffs! And then years after that they actually won a playoff game (over the hated Rams). And then--years and years and years of nothing.

Big Archie Manning fan here. Thinking of shifting my rather tenuous allegiance to the Colts and another pretty decent Manning.

Anyway, the oncoming trolley story pretty much establishes that John Fountain is a major-league asshead.
