In the spirit of open mindedness (OK I admit it I was really really bored

) I actually went to this Sollog site
There is a constant reference to the Mile being important to an ancient Mythos ,or as it says at least once anicent, but which mile, the modern mile of 1760 yards or the ancient Roman mile of 1620 yards? (The word Mile comes form the Latin Mille passus= a thousand paces )
In fact the kilometre is closer to the Roman mile than the modern one as it was designed for the same reason a thousand paces of approximatley 3 feet.
