Just as a note, it looks like they're having some sort of technical....something...over there. Here's the actual link for the thread:

Hehe, I have to say that julbon is one of the funniest posters I have ever seen on the interweb. It's like he's trying to run his own talk show over there.

But it bugged me that someone would do that because of a message board of all things. A relative of mine is a computer geek and assured me that he could find pretty quickly. he also mentioned the names of several srvices that will do it for a small fee. It isn't hard to find them.

From a light of reason at the Stupidity Center:
Quote:
Sorry you feel that way. But if you will reread your statements regarding "athiest" atrocities and then those regarding "theist" atrocities, it is obvious that you are using two standards of judgement. You held up what you called "athiest" atrocities as an evil of atheism and then absolved "theist" atrocities because they were human. And at no time did I misquote you.
Emphasis mine. This is a very common example of the dichotomous thinking that the conservative religious fanatic engages in. I am not sure that they can even see the hypocrisy of the claim. I cannot count the number of times I have seen right-wingers/creationists use the exact same equivocation when trying to link liberalism/atheism/evolution with 'atrocities.'

It is pretty sad to think that there are grown people - apparently semi-intelligent and educated - who actually cannot see the illogic of such gibberish...

If an atheist/evolutionist/liberal does something bad, it is BECAUSE of their liberalism/atheism/evolution-acceptance.

But if a Christian does something equally bad, it is because they were not aTRUE Christian, or because they were deceived, or were just bad people, etc.

Grade-school logic for a grade-school belief system.
