Default Ad Hoc

Anyone looked at the symbolism in this? AD HOC

Could it be the Year of Our Lord, Anno Domini ?

What about HOC? Is this a reference to Highlander, Osiris & Christ?

A melange of three forms of advice as to what to do, maybe?

I wonder.

This really smacks of clutching at straws to me, and reminds me of somebody else's comment about finding apocalyptic predictions from an explosion in an alphabet soup factory. These are both latin words which predate Christ; the fact that they can be made to stand for certain religious phrases is spurious.

Default No symbolism in "AD HOC"

[Family Guy]

Peter: There's a message in my Alphabits! It says "Oooooooooo"'!
Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios.

Highlander? You mean like Duncan McCloud (or however the hell you spell his name...)? There shall be only one? That highlander?

P.S. If it's NOT that highlander, then don't bother responding.
Please -- let me dream...

What advice would that be? To get beheaded, crucified, or chopped up into fish bait?

Not exactly Ann Landers, is it?

How about Apocalyptic predictions from a population explosion?

A pestilence of "religion", a famine of common-sense, followed by war and death.

Does anyone have a recipe for peace instead of forever quoting scripture?

What use is quoting PAST scripture as reference for social planning and living in the present day?

Is all of this quoting of scripture simply moralising?

Is there ANY possibility that the overpopulated planet and its people may find themselves in ANY form of moral predicament, regarding the long-term future?

See: Matthew 23:27
