He saved me from my sin, and promised me eternity in paradise where no pain or suffering will ever exist again.

It isn't changing the subject. 90% of Mark's topics belong in Elsewhere because they serve no purpose. Asking an atheist board what Jesus has done for them is pointless.

Scary flashback! The title of this thread is the exact same question my sisters used to ask me when they were teenage disciples and I was too young to fight back.

I wanted to say, ""I'm twelve! I wouldn't even know what to ask the guy."

These days, if I believed in him, I would ask him to stay the hell out of my life.

Default Proof?

mark9950: Is there anyone that reads this can prove beyond a doubt that Jesus really did answer your prayers?
Not I. I could, however, fill volumes with the number of times that I have watched pious Christians pray for help (often on behalf of others) only to get a kick in the rear for an answer.

Not to mention the numerous times I have witnessed someone claim to have received some divine inspiration, the only subsequent manifestation of which was the egg on his face.

Just my observation,

According to the fundies I'm saddled with he inspired them to pepper their teaching with references to him and his religion, which has the side benefit of leaving one feeling a bit harassed since as a student they're in a position of authority over me and exert considerable control over my future. Thus rather than having an enjoyable learning environment that more or less twenty years of schooling have led me to expect, I have a basically hostile one which I have no ability to change.

Just say no to Jesus.

The only person I have ever prayed to was Joe Pesci, and this was his reply...

"Ok, ok, ok,.... ok.... this is what you do.... ok, ok, ok... this is what you do..... get a whole bunch of vinegar, stir it up with some egg whites and drink it.... sounds good right? Ok, ok, whatever whatever, what do you want from me? I can't walk on fucking water ok? whatever whatever...."

Arguing an inerrentist/YEC position on an athiest board, however, is a perfectly good idea.

I don't know why prayer works------but it does. No logical or rational explanation for it that I know of.

One of those strange occurences that are not really explainable I guess.

Ask any Fundy. Ask any liberal Christian. Does prayer work?

The answer would be YES.

Damned if I know why or could explain it in any rational manner.

Mere assertions. Where is your proof? Note that I am not asking for an explanation, just some evidence that what you claim is true.
