Note that he finds an LB layer. Huh. And it sits right over the MB layer ... Now, you can also look at Kenyon's trench: Why doesn't she have an LB layer in there? Well, sure, erosion. But there's no similar erosion to the north. Where's your wall remains, Lars? Not there. I also did a quick literature search. I can't find a -single- archaeological report that shows that -any- site in the Middle East used wooden walls for defense. Not even when wood was abundant. You want sources for descriptions of Climate Change, deforestation, and the problems with reforestation in the Levant? Perhaps the walls were not such a critical factor. While reading "History of the Jews (or via: amazon.co.uk)" by Paul Johnson (top of my head without book in front of me, I believe that is authors name), he posits the belief that there were never only one group of Israelites concentrated only in one place (or taking part in one Exodus) at a time and that the Israelites who conquered Caananite cities did so with the help of existing populations of kinsman already settled within, fifth columns, it you will. Any type of wall is highly suceptible to subversion from within.

I've decided to go full force on this project Larsguy47. I'm going to do everything in 3D in stead of 2d! This way people can see your scenerio from any angle.
I'll be workong with Truespace, Bryce, Lightwave, Anim8or, and Poser. Poser has people alreeady to dress and pose, so I'm even going to put people in it! I also want this to be as realistic as possible so, yet another question... what kind of trees would you suggest to use? We have palm trees around here in abundance and I figure I'll take some pictures of them, made into lumber, to map on the models. Do you think that will be close enough? |

NOTE: You might have noticed that Larsguy47 has been banned. His appearance here seems to be part of an elaborate hoax. Not all of the details are clear yet, but there's no point in trying to argue against him. I will leave this thread open for now.
