OK, not impossible but 'educated under Gamaliel' stands for something on its own and that is religious piety based on the elevations of our innate virtues. We call them the Cardinal virtues (Wisdom, Courage, Temperance, Faith, Hope and Charity with Justice in the middle as if they were the colours of the rainbow that holds a promise only if all is there.

. . . and please do not forget that the New Jerusalem replaces the Old Jerusalem just as the New Heaven and New Earth replaces the old heaven and earth, and this will be past, present and future, depending only on where the reader is at.
