It actually doesn't matter to Maklelan's point whether Paul's claim was true or not. He isn't saying it IS true. He isn't making a claim about Paul's actual bloodline, just pointing out that the fact that he would make the claim at all suggests that some genealogical associations were held as important outside of the priesthood.

Personally, I would argue that Paul's claim is more likely to be a general claim of tribal affiliation than an implication of a detailed personal bloodline.

Maklelan, as with all newcomers, I will give you the inside scoop about aa5874. I have him on my ignore list, and I will explain why. You see how he has a post-count of 12,848? All of those posts are just like what you see here in this thread.
