You will get no more "facts," Layman, so make a gigantic leap of faith and answer my question as it is worded. If you continue to pretend you can't answer the question as it is worded, then don't.
Bigotry? |

As long as I have been posting here I have yet to get any "facts" from you. Why would I expect any now? |

You win the stupidest retort prize! Congratulations for providing a direct application of one of the favored evasion tactics listed in this post!
Look everyone! Layman did it right here as a perfect example for all to see! WEEEEE! Now answer the question, or don't. Who gives a shit? |

You also failed to answer my question. Which, at the risk of sounding like a schoolyard kid, I asked of you first. |

In case you're wondering - you've just repeated your assertion, without proving it. I am not impressed or convinced. The definition of "cult" does not indicate anything about the size of the following. From www.dictionary.com: cult 1a. A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader. b. The followers of such a religion or sect. 2. A system or community of religious worship and ritual. 3. The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual. Quote:

Layman, what do you call a group of people who indoctrinate other people into following a myth-based belief structure through fear?
This is the question. You get nothing else. Answer it. |

What is more important to a Christian, Crap or Proof.... Crap.
How can you debate a Crap eater, you can tell them all day long food tastes better than crap... but can you prove it? If they take a bit of food, they will go to hell. The Church is a crap slinger, the converts, active crap eaters. They are telling us that crap taste better. We atheists are dining on food that they may someday enjoy, until then we can only throw some food in their crap bowl and hope they take a bite someday. Is that the reason for this board, if not, then the Christians should leave and only the choir remains and who wants to preach to them. It is appearant that some of these false threads are started with the most ignorant of questions that sound like it is written from some Christian that just got converted 2 days ago and suddenly they show up at this advanced type of site asking questions that don't fit the site. I have been having fun with these idiots by answering in the same way, throw in some sex with the virgin Mary etc. but prove that it is in line with christian teaching and bibical principles and letting the topic die right their unless anyone else wants to compound the issue to even greater comic relief. Using them as an attack platform may help slow them down. Keeping it in the right light, "stupidity", may be the freethinkers best defense.

In other words, Christianity IS a cult!!!! Also, size LEGALLY does matter. If you have enough members, you are considered to be a religion. I forget the exact number. Something like 2000. |
