Come on Christians! Attack this blasphemy! Don't let these heathens be the judge of God! Come on! I'm sure there HAS to be some explanation for all these atrocities. Right? Or are you all going to be silent? Chalking this all up to the great mysteries of god's will? Some other outrageous theodicy? Come on, let's hear em'...
By the way, one of my favorite Bible horrors is the scenario involving Uzzah (Although it certainly isn't the most atrocious, it holds a rather soft place in my heart of hearts). God pulverizes Uzzah because he had the audacity to, with no faith in his wicked heart, steady the Ark of the Covenant when it was about to fall to the ground on it's way down a bumpy road. Here is the epitome of justice. Pure fucking justice... Thanks, clef-tone |

Is God A Criminal? by Bill Shultz. This essay makes use of Donald Morgan's list of Biblical Atrocities.

I'm not sure which part I like best, the part where god kills King Herod and has the worms eat him for sounding like a god; or the part where Judas has his bowels gush out.
But my all time favorite is Zecheriah 14:12, "This shall be the plague with which the lord will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem. Their flesh shall rot while they are still on their feet, their eyes snall rot in their sockets and their tongues shall rot in their mouths." Now, that's one pissed of god. |

I love the word bowels. It sounds so... so... gastrointestinal.

Bible Quiz: What Do You REALLY Know About The Bible?
There was one question wrong on the quiz, but I can't remember which one, have fun and tell us what you scored. The first time I took it I scored around 32. Post your scores! |

Sorry to go off topic a bit, but from John 9:3, as quoted earlier in this thread -
"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, Does anyone else have a problem with this statement? Hint: Adam, Eve, a certain snake and original sin? BTW, I only scored 35 in the quiz. Oh well! Norm |
