I will go to my grave with this exact thought.
I even have the shirt from evolvefish.com that has aliens handing mary the baby jesus.

If the story of the jesus in the bible has any historical truth, jesus would in then be an alien.

While I would never put forth the idea as a well tested scientific theory, it is not out of the realm of possibility.

There are many stars of which many seem to have planets.
In fact, the more we look the more we find and it could very well turn out that it is the odd star that has no planets.
Life outside of Earth is a distinct possibility.

I'm not preaching little green men.
However, if one's were to visit here, create a half-breed though an alien impregnation (the virgin birth) and we ended up nailing him to some wood to die a horrible death, I am just glad they didn't remove us for good.

Though I usually avoid such books as they usually turn out to be little more then visions that resemble dreams that I myself could think up.

Though if reccomended I might pick it up.

The problem is - if it takes the Talmud stories about Jesus seriously then it doesn't sound very skeptical at all - just credulous of different things. About all the Talmud establishes is that a couple of centuries after Christianity was founded, even the enemies of Christianity did not doubt that Jesus existed as a historical figure - they saw him as someone to be discredited, not someone whose existance was to be doubted altogether.

Sorry for the rant, but I find pseudo-intellectual secular nonsense just as irritating as pseudo-intellectual religious nonsense.

Saw a movie years ago starring Kier Buleima
(or however you spell it - guy who played
Dave in 2001). It was called "The Next One".

He shows up as some sort of time/space traveller
looking for a friend of his who came here before
him. The guy has miraculous healing powers, etc.
Takes place on some Greek island I think. The crux
is where he ends up in a Catholic Church, looking
up at Jesus on the cross... "I think I know what
happened to my friend...."

Discovery,History and the Learning channel had at least a dozen different shows about jesus,miracles and other religious boloney this week,but here it is 9.00 AM Christmas morning and Discovery has a show on about Hitler.

A check of the TV guide shows that only one of the 3 channels is planning on running a Christmas show today and it`s not even one of the religious ones.

Interesting.

I wouldn’t recommend it as a scholarly read, it’s in the same fluff ballpark as Sitchin, but it does have some curious stuff, I did enjoy it, full of things I think about from time to time. (I think David Icke gets a lot of his paranoia from this same train of thought)
