These comments may be accurate, but I read this as personal opinion presented as fact. A truth statement - I just like asking questions and leave the conclusions open.

In the book of Romans, the apostle Paul clearly teaches that all have sinned and fall short of God's glory. His message is clear - that both Jews and Gentiles are in need of God's mercy in Christ.

This seems to rather contradict the idea that only the Jews are God's special people - or that this was ever his intention.

I think that only God would know the answer to this question.

One indication in Genesis is that man is given dominion over the other creatures which God has made. God seems to want man to have responsibility - to take responsibility for the world around him, morally and in every way.

Man is placed in a situation where he is not only under authority (God's), he is also placed in a situation where he must also exercise, and know what it means to have authority.
