Now that that's out of the way I want it known that I knew it was Joel YESTERDAY and made many posts about the person who took down Neil's blog. I may not be the greatest authority on many subjects but human nature - the inner workings and motivations of people - second to none. This is why everyone should take what I say with a grain of salt but in the end, take what I say nevertheless.

I told Neil yesterday and I have never received any favor from Neil at his blog. He's never promoted any of my ideas or writings. I just know bad people and how they work. It was Nietzsche who taught me the key. Most people cite his 'big idea' as being the will to power or God is dead. I lived Nietzsche when I was young. The key concept is that most human behavior especially wickedness is motivated by ressentiment (of course he wouldn't use the term 'wickedness'). Nietzsche used the French term specifically. Someone does something wrong to you, nine times out of ten = ressentiment.

Saying something is a science or 'we will be scientific' on n issue can be colloquial expressions. Generally meaning within the scope of the issue we will try to be as objective about it and look to evidence to support conclusions.

If someone says history is A science I would not necessarily interpret that to mean history IS a science.

But you can go to the link and see that it was a few intemperate sentences followed by a list of urls.

What would Jesus do? Why can't he infuse his followers with the spirit of charity?

But I think you're missing the point. I just posted an article on this at my blog. Neil isn't claiming to be Christian, he's not claiming to have been transformed by some supernatural power in the water, he's not claiming to be 'good' (note the initial reaction of Joel's followers that 'it couldn't be him'). If the shoe was on the other foot and it was Unbuttoned Christianity that was taken down after a series of posts against Neil, how many of these people would have given Neil the benefit of the doubt?
