It is easy to feel of superior intelligence when discussing religion because in that field intelligence counts for nothing. When talking about religion it is impossible to separate the intelligent one from the not so intelligent, but, thankfully, it is dead easy to separate the bloody-minded from the good men and women.

Jo, as you have commented publicly on this subject, I must say that it wasn't a very nice thing to voice. It insults the work that went into trying to do something useful for the forum.

It is also factually incorrect. It cannot be an epic fail when those guidelines were never actually implemented. We did the work to delineate them and everyone agreed to them, but then it was back to business as usual. The guidelines were never enforced. So not an epic fail, but an epic waste of time, only to be insulted for the effort. Everyone consulted cared for the forum and only wanted the best for it. Your above comment is a nice thank you.
You are right and my anger at having a "clean up" is no excuse for my scathing comments. My apologies. I saw later that indeed guidelines had been formed, linked but not implemented. So contrary to what I said, not an epic fail (sorry only just saw this post).

As I have posted in MCR and will here, BCH (including most forums) archives that were created during IIDB will be archived to a separate link. The posts from 2008 up to about 2012 will be archived on the board.
