Just driving but I will give you the scoop on the searches of libraries in Egypt I've organized. please don't publish anything about that. there is the ultra secret library at Mari Mina. nobody gets access to that without permission of the Coptic Pope

I've posted a summary of the beginning of D'Antraigues journey to Egypt at my blog - http://stephanhuller.blogspot.com/20...ntraigues.html. But in the process I also discovered that D'Antraigues original letters describing the trip and the discovery of the manuscripts is available at my local university library! Why then did Duckworth need to go to Dijon to see letters? I mean, it is still possible. But if we apply the 'suspicion' that normally falls upon Morton Smith by detractors, I find the whole story of Duckworth 'discovering' this story while researching in France utterly implausible. If it turns out that my library has the French journal that contains these letters in their entirety - and by the looks of it they appear at a library in Australia http://www.worldcat.org/title/oeuvre...=brief_results - I am beginning to find it highly suspicious that Duckworth would have just 'stumbled' upon them in France. Surely the world's greatest authority on D'Antraigues would have been aware of the journal, no? I wonder if Duckworth accepted D'Antraigues 'exaggerations' because he was guilty of the same 'dramatic flair.' Maybe scholars aren't nearly as honest as I often give them credit .
