I am SPEFICALLY responding to the OP--"Who is "Lord" of the NT". I am basically exposing that there is really little relevance to the interpretation "and immediately he will send it back here."

The fundamental issue is the word "Lord" in the NT.

Is Jesus "Lord" in the NT?

It is easily shown that in the NT when the word "Lord", God and Jesus are in the very same verses that the Lord specifically and directly refers to Jesus.

1. Mark 16:19 NAS
Quote:
So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
2. John 20:28 NAS
Quote:
Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God !"
3.Acts 2:36 NAS
Quote:
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ -this Jesus whom you crucified."
4. Romans 1:7 NAS
Quote:
......to all who are beloved of God in Rome, called as saints : Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
5. Galatians 1:3 NAS
Quote:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
6. 1 Timothy 1:2 NAS
Quote:
To Timothy, my true child in the faith : Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
7. Hebrews 13:20 NAS
Quote:
[Benediction] Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord
8. James 1:1 NAS
Quote:
[Testing Your Faith] James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.
9. 1 Peter 1:3 NAS
Quote:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..
10. Jude 1:21 NAS
Quote:
...keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
In the NT it was confessed that Jesus is Lord to the GLORY of God.

Philippians 2:11 NAS
Quote:
and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Revelation 22:20 NAS
Quote:
He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus
