Shesh, is there ANYTHING that the Jews did not adopt from others according to your unproven assertion?? Is there ANYTHING that the other nations got from the Jews, and how did the Sumerians, Ugarites and Egyptians come up with what they had? Who did they "borrow" from, and who did the ones who they borrowed from borrow from?

The tales don't own much to Egyptian sources or myths, but overwhelmingly to ancient Sumerian, Urgritic, and Mesopotamian roots.

A Christian I knew insisted the Jews are the source of math and scince.

The intellectual paths of contributions is fairly well diagramed, I an not aware of anything specifically attributed to the ancient Jews.

Even the term THE Jews is suspect. There were factions with differnt histores even in te time of JC.

I believe the idea that there was a singular culture/group called Jews that existed landing in Palestine running through the Roman destruction is suspect.

If you compare Noah and Gilgamesh the Noah tale is clearly plagiarized.

Monotheism predated what would have been the time of Moses.

If you look at the 613 Mtzvot Jews pull out of the OT, the civil codes in the Code of Hammurabi predates.

Egypt had geometry and civil engineering.

I do not think the Greek historian Herodotus makes mention of Jews.

The archeological evidence would say the Jewish biblical state at its peak was not nearly so grand as the bible makes out. They were minor players surrounded by far greater civilizations.

'...According to the Hebrew Bible, all Israelites descend from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Abraham was born in the Sumerian city of Ur Kaśdim, and migrated to Canaan (commonly known as the Land of Israel) with his family. Aristotle believed that the Jews came from India, where he said that they were known as the Kalani.[23] Genetic studies on Jews show that most Jews worldwide bear a common genetic heritage which originates in the Middle East, and that they bear their strongest resemblance to the peoples of the Fertile Crescent.[24][25][26] According to archaeologists, however, Israelite culture did not overtake the region, but rather grew out of Canaanite culture..'

My question is about the HYKSOS themselves. What archaeological evidence do we have for them? History books tell about them, are they in error?

There is archeology and there is popular for profit Christian archeology.
I do not have a number, but the Christian market for such stuff is large and profitable.

I've had Christians quote books insisting much of the bible is evidenced.
For many years, including here in the present, the phrases like "The
bible is verified with every turn of the archaeologist's spade" has
been parroted in churches and on web pages. Most I have encountered
really and truly believe it, as all they read is xtian literature that
insists that if a town is found in more or less the right place as the
bible places it, then it is that town, regardless of what artifacts actually
say about dating, peoples etc.

Certainly. I never claimed that they adopted everything.
Whether their adoption of religious motifs from other and earlier cultures is an unproven assertion is debatable. There are many scholarly studies on the matter that trace the origins of these various religious motifs, and borrowed poetical materials.

Yes, a great many things. Just because they employed a few items that had been around for awhile does not mean they didn't improve upon them, add their own ideas, and greatly contribute to the advancement of human ethics and civilization.
May the Jews live and prosper forever!

These cultures were all much older than Israel, and their religions far older than Judaism. But I suspect you are aware of that.

Far enough back there is something called 'pre-history'.
It takes some mighty specialized and intensive archaeological investigation to trace the movement of religious ideas among cultures most whom no longer exist, simply by examination of the few remaining artifacts.
You might as well be asking what was the first sentence a human ever spoke.

We know quite a bit from their stint in Egypt.

Do we know all the details factually? No we don't.

But we do know they have no connection at all with the biblical mythology and fiction of the exodus, since it is only a literary creation.

What I find interesting is how modern people will derive an identity and sense of self worth based on a genetic connection to cultures thousands of years ago with no connection to modern civilizations.

So you can't cite anything from archaeology about the Hyksos?
Oh, right, you never do provide evidence for anything you say.
So, someone else, what does archaeology prove about the Hyksos, or are they as much a myth as the Exodus?

translated; "Wahhh, I need attention! You can't seriously be expecting me to ever look up any of this myself."

Whoops, I didn't specify "someone else besides Shesh". No, that won't do either. "someone else besides Shesh, duvduv, aa and who else should I add to the list"?
