One thing that makes me mad is that a lot of these so called religious people probably aren't even that religious. Who needs to pray so often anyways? Can't they take a few hour break, pray at lunch (which they are allowed to do obviously), take another break, then run home as fast as possible and pray again. They are only trying to feel higher and more "civilized" then non-believers.

The children of religious people already pray. They pray in church. They probably pray at home. And, if those parents ask them to, and the children are obedient, those kids will pray at school.

So who do these people really want to be praying? Other people's kids. That's what this is all about - not opportunity for their kids to pray, but forcing other people's kids to pray. And that ain't right.

Furthermore, we are talking about a government function. I don't trust the government to spend my tax dollars inelligently. And now you want me to trust it with religious education? Even if I was a god-believing man, I wouldn't want that sacred task in the hands of a bunch of bureaucrats.
