Hi,

Several posters and I just spent 11+ pages total on something as trivial as mathematical manipulations to show Douglas, a Creationist of randman's ilk, why he was wrong. After that experience, I don't see how any of you can even hope to convince randman of something that is more controversial than whether 1 + 1 = 2. The way it was down in RRP, everybody else but Douglas was doing all of the actual thinking. Douglas just kept throwing new crap out mindlessly. Isn't it like that here?

It's unclear whether the evil atheists can even convince randman of that, since he claims if evolution was true, we'd still be a weird and dangerous cult.

In case you missed it, it's worth reproducing here:

Quote:
"My honest impression is that this is cultish, and very weird and dangerous, and I am more resolved than ever, tha[t] even if evolution is somehow true, that evolutionists themselves, as represented here, have become a sort of twisted religious group, and one that is dangerous." - The Amazing randman

Most of us have no interest in what randman thinks. Posting against someone so ignorant and dishonest is mostly for the benefit of ourselves and the lurkers. The scientists posting here provide excellent reviews of past and recent literature as they refute randman's lies. It's educational, and admittedly it is mildly entertaining to see someone such as randman make an ass of himself.

I think there is a worthwhile test to ask randman to pass to demonstrate his honesty. If he is sincerely interested in the 'truth' and not here just to irritate the scientists, ask him for his honest opinion of Douglas's thread, here. If he chooses, he can also read the continuation here.

If he is interested in the truth, he would have no problems denouncing the obvious errors made by Douglas. There is nothing in Douglas's thread that goes beyond simple arithmetic, and surely if randman is here to argue evolution he must have finished high school.

You're the one spreading the lies that I "locked" your threads, bucko.

And now you dodge the question when I ask you point-blank if you understand what I did to those threads.

That tells me that you do indeed understand fully what happened to those threads, but you are trying to scream censorship to bolster your point.

Laughable. Sad, too, but mainly laughable.

But since you're in such desparate need of validation. I'll lock this thread. It's fed the troll too much already.

Great posts from a lot of non-randmans, though.
